St. Ignatius is blessed with a talented Music Ministry. The CD contains many traditional Christmas songs, as well as a few soon-to-be favorites. Parishioner Lynne Averbeck's beautiful rendition of the Madonna and Child graces the cover of the CD and cassette. Lynne won a contest held early this summer to design the cover artwork.

Recording of the Christmas CD began in April at WGUC Studios here in Cincinnati. Over 150 members of the various music groups participated in the project. The CD shows off the diversity of our Music Ministry, from our grade school and youth choirs, to our adult choirs and contemporary groups, to our bell choirs. The congregation at the 4:30 PM Mass on July 24th got into the Christmas spirit early when they helped record "Joy to the World." Our guest, St. Leo's Choir, performs the title song, "What Was the Message?", an original composition by Rick Noble, one of their members.

Your support of the CD project helps "Healthy Moms and Babes" and St. Leo's Parish. Both groups are dedicated to loving, Christian outreach in the Cincinnati community.
