Worship Commission Bereavement: This committee is a group of caring people who have formed a ministry team in service to the bereaved. Our mission, after notification of a death from the church office, is to contact the bereaved family and make an appointment with them to plan the funeral liturgy and assist at the Mass of Christian Burial. In addition to this we have a luncheon in the spring and a special memorial mass in November for all bereaved family members who have lost a loved one during the previous year. Contact Liz or Dick Neidhard (741-3564). Eucharistic Adoration: Eucharistic Adoration is held each Wednesday, beginning after the 9:15am Mass and ending at 5:00pm. All Night Adoration from 9:00pm-6:30am occurs on the lst Friday of each month. Contact Rich and Jo Ann Koch (662-7861). Eucharistic Home Visitation: Holy Communion is taken to the sick and homebound parishioners weekly Contact Sr. Bertha (661-6565) to add someone to the Communion Call List or to volunteer to help take Communion to the homebound. Eucharistic Ministers: Parish Members help distribute the Eucharist at parish masses and communion services. Anyone interested in assisting in this important parish ministry can contact Tony Otte (481-1809) or Pat Zirkelbach (741-7126). Healing Masses/Services: On the first Wednesday of each month a Healing Mass or Healing Service is held in Church at 7:30pm sponsored by the Lighthouse Community. Contact Sr. Chris (471-5483). Lectors: The purpose of this ministry is to help parish members proclaim the Word of God effectively to the assembled community. Preparation booklets emphasize the role of the Sacred Scriptures in the liturgy. New parishioners are invited and training is provided. Contact Lynne Averbeck (741-2855). Liturgy Planning: Parish members gather to share ideas for liturgical seasons and special masses. Liturgy of the Word for Children: During the 10:15 Mass children 4 yrs through 3rd grade leave Church during the Liturgy of the Word to listen to and better understand the Scripture Readings with trained catechists. Contact Elaine McNeil (662-4286). Music Groups: Contemporary Music Groups: These groups lead the congregation in singing traditional and contemporary music at our Masses and special celebrations. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Devotions: Devotions are held each Tuesday evening at 6:30pm in church. Contact Jim Sunderhaus (5 74-8277). Our Lady's Prayer Group: This group meets every Wednesday morning 10:30am until noon in church. Contact Helen Sillies (661-8730). Prayer Chain (Our Lady of Guadalupe): Those requesting prayers for any need can call the Parish Office and those on the Prayer Chain will pray for the request. To join the Prayer Chain contact or Rich and Jo Ann Koch (662-7861). Servers: Being a server is an opportunity for girls and boys to assist at weekday masses (grades 6, 7, and 8) and for high school/adults/ families to assist at weekend masses. Contact Fr. Ushers & Greeters: To emphasize our family unity this group will be at the doors to welcome you, to seat you and to take up the collection, both men and women, from high school age through senior citizens, are invited to provide this service.
