As soon as we have all the numbers we'll be publishing them in the bulletin. Now I know that during the late summer months there have traditionally been a number of speakers at the Masses. One of those guests who visit our parish around this time are the Little Sisters of the Poor. Now I know that this comes right on the heal of our mission speaker Fr. Charles, and I am sorry for that. But I cannot say no to the Little Sisters. You see they are sort of hero's of mine. I have a few people who have helped me in my life to lead me to the priesthood. Fr. Borgman S.J, Fr. Pigott S.J, Bishop Moeddel and my family. For the most part these have all been individuals with particular influences. The Little Sisters of the Poor have been a great collective influence in my life. The simple but yet consistent activity they offer to the needy and the sick, always reminds me of the great things we can accomplish if the people of God would do the same. They live a simple life and have simple needs. The needs they do have are for the most part directed to their care for others. If you have ever had the opportunity to spend some time with one of the Sisters, I bet your life would be changed too. For all you HIGH SCHOOL, AND COMFIRMATION students they offer many opportunities for service hours and volunteer time. Please consider lending them a hand.
