of REMINDER: Bulletin articles for the Sunday bulletin are due on Mondays by 12:00 noon. Thank you for your cooperation. CCHD to Host Annual Collection is this weekend. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development is the domestic anti-poverty program of the US Bishops. It was founded almost 40 years ago to address the root causes of poverty in America. Since it is supported almost entirely by parish collections, the Campaign is a wonderful opportunity for St. Ignatius parishioners to reach out to the 27 million Americans who live below the poverty line. Since the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is usually the 2nd highest donor to this Campaign in the country, we usually are given a greater share of the total collection and it is used wisely in our area. For more information, go to www.usccb.org/cchd/ or to find out what CCHD is doing here in our archdiocese go to www.catholiccincinnati.org/socialaction/cchd.html. St. Vincent DePaul Society - If you receive a turkey or ham that you don't know what to do with, please consider donating it to the SVDP conference here at St. I's so we can pass it along to one of the families that has requested our help for Thanksgiving and Christmas. If your family would like to sponsor one of those families for Christmas, please call the Parish Office to let them know. Someone from our conference will get back to you with information about your family. Thanks for all of the support that you give us throughout the year which enables us to assist individuals in our neighborhood. RCIA: Barb Harland and Michelle Bachman are the Catechists on Wednesday evening. Advent of the Church Year is the lesson. The lesson will begin at 7:30 in Hilvert Center. We have also built more than 40,000 housing units for families desperately needing shelter and have supported orphanages and education for children. In December of 2006, Forbes magazine awarded Food For The Poor a 97% fundraising efficiency rating. More than 96% of all donations received in 2006 went directly to programs that help the poor. Fr. Robin Mahfood, president/CEO of Food For The Poor stated, Our commitment to the poor and hungry of the Caribbean and Latin America intensifies each year. The countless individuals and organizations that share our vision enable us to expand our efforts. Our greatest achievements are the ongoing programs which impact the lives of so many of the destitute by providing the assistance they need in nutritional, housing, medical, water, educational and self-help projects. These projects afford the poor a better opportunity to break free from the bonds of poverty.
