A Few Words Welcome to Lent everyone! It does seem as if it came real early this year, and it did. This is almost the earliest date possible for Lent to begin. I hope everyone has given thought to possible things to sacrifice in your daily life to offer up this season. Once again I urge you to meditate upon your relations, with God, Family, Friends, Work, and Community, and give up something that hinders them. Give up something that you truly want to be rid of, and not return to after Lent is over. As I have said many time before Lent is not a church sponsored diet program; it is much, much more! Lent is here for us to reflect upon life and our call to take part in the passion of Christ. My wish for everyone at St. Is is that you will find new ways of letting Christ work through you and in you; so that when Easter arrives it will be a most joyful experience ever. Next week we kick off our Catholic Ministries Appeal. Pledge
envelopes will be in the pews and for the 1st time you will also have
