Dear Parents:
The Parish School of Religion is preparing for the 2005-2006
school year. Your child or children are invited to attend the Sunday
morning Religion Program. Please complete the attached registration
form and return it to the Parish School of Religion
office or drop it in the weekend collection basket marked ATTN:
PSR. Classes are held every Sunday from September 25, 2005 through
May 7, 2006. The class times are as follows:
PRESCHOOL (4 year olds) through EIGHTH GRADE 8:30
a.m. -10:00 a.m.
SACRAMENT PREPARATION for FIRST RECONCILIATION and FIRST EUCHARIST
are in Grade Two. The SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION is a two-year preparation
program, which begins in Grade Seven and is completed in Grade Eight.

For families enrolling three or more children, the total fee will
not exceed $100.00. If the fee for the program cannot be paid, please
contact the Parish Office (661-6565) and arrangements will be made.
If this is the first time that you are registering a
child, please fill out the attached Baptismal Information form. We
will also need a copy of the baptismal certificate if he/she has not
been baptized at St. Ignatius.

Parish School of Religion (PSR): Responding to
Jesus' invitation, "Let the children come to me," the St.
Ignatius Parish School of Religion insures the formal religious education
for all the children in the parish. This is accomplished by providing
religion classes, conducted by trained catechists, for school children
attending public schools (including those with special needs) and
pre-school children. Contact Kris Schoettmer (661-6565). Sunday Morning
Coordinator: Mary Ann Bosse (481-3873).

Pre-School Program: This program develops the pre-schooler's
awareness of self and God's world around them: Their sense of prayer,
sense of wonder, joy and discovery in work, prayer and play. Classes
for 4-year-olds are held on Sunday mornings, 9:00-10:00 a.m.,
September through May.

Grades K through 8 Program: This program enables students to
grow in their relationship and understanding of God. Students become
knowledgeable of the Bible, Catholic tradition and are prepared for the
Sacraments of the Church. Classes are held on Sunday mornings 9:00-10:10
a.m. - September through May.

High School Religion Program: Public School students meet to
pray, discuss and grow in their faith. Moral issues are examined.
Classes are held in the evenings, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. - fall through
spring. High School students who have not received the Sacrament of
Confirmation can attend this program to fulfill Confirmation
requirements.

- March 14, 2004 - PSR Confirmation Retreat in Church starting at
9:00 a.m. Mass until Noon.
- April 15, 2004 - Confirmation Prayer Vigil and Practice for
candidates and sponsors at 7:30 p.m. in Church.
- April 16, 2004 - Confirmation at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral at
7:30 p.m.
